Shooting Near West Side Green Line Station Leaves One Hurt

CHICAGO (STMW) – A male was wounded in a Tuesday afternoon shooting near a West Side CTA station.

The victim was shot in the foot about 3:20 p.m. in the 100 block of North California Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said, citing preliminary information.

The shooting happened about a block south of the California Green Line station.

The victim, whose age was not immediately known, refused medical treatment and was uncooperative on the scene, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
