(WSCR) More instant replay may be coming to baseball sooner rather than later.

Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig said instant replay will soon be expanded to include trapped balls and line drives down the foul lines.

“We’re now going to add it on trapped balls in the outfield and as I call them bullets down the right and left field line,” Selig said.

As it stands now, replay is only allowed to determine home runs.

Selig said he doesn’t feel expanding replay will taint the purity of the game.

“There are some people who believe that by going to the last two things, maybe I’ve gone too far and I don’t think so,” Selig said
