(CBS) – Brian Urlacher, who had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday, may have quietly undergone multiple procedures in the offseason, according to a media report.

CSNChicago.com, citing unnamed sources, says Urlacher underwent two procedures earlier this year following the regular season.

Urlacher told FOX News Chicago earlier this week he did not have surgery before the Tuesday repair.

The Bears hope the middle linebacker, who hasn’t practiced since July 31, will play in the season opener.
