(WSCR) Regardless of the fact that Lance Armstrong will soon be stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned from the sport for doping, Nike will stand by his side.
“Lance has stated his innocence and has been unwavering on this position. Nike plans to continue to support Lance and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, a foundation that Lance created to serve cancer survivors,” Nike said in a prepared statement.
Armstrong announced Thursday that he would no loner fight allegations from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that he cheated his way to success in cycling.
“Enough is enough,” Armstrong said in a statement.
