Bears-Colts Inactives: Podlesh, Conte Will Play

By Adam Hoge-

SOLDIER FIELD (CBS) Bears punter Adam Podlesh will play in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Nursing a hip flexor injury, Podlesh missed the Bears' final two preseason games and the team kept backup punter Adam Quigley on the 53-man roster. But when the inactives were announced Sunday morning, it was Quigley, not Podlesh on the list of players who will sit out.

The other Bears' inactives include wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, defensive tackle Amobi Okoye, safety Jeremy Jones, guard Edwin Williams and defensive end Cheta Ozougwu.

That means safety Chris Conte will play. He missed the final two preseason games with a shoulder injury.

Meanwhile, Stephen Paea will start at nose tackle for Matt Toeaina. Paea was the apparent starter before going down with an ankle injury early in the preseason.

And, as expected, wide receiver Earl Bennett (hand) and linebacker Brian Urlacher (knee) are also a go. Both were listed as probable on Friday's injury report.

The Colts' inactives include wide receiver Austin Collie, wide receiver TY Hilton, guard Joe Reitz,, linebacker Pat Angerer, offensive lineman Mike Person, quarterback Chandler Harnish and running back Delone Carter

Of those, Collie is the most significant. He is out with a concussion.
