DuPage County Trainer Accused Of Molesting Teenage Boy

WHEATON, Ill. (CBS) -- A DuPage County health club trainer is out of jail on bond, after being charged with sexually molesting a teenage boy.

As WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports, fitness trainer Robert Theodore is alleged to have had repeated sexual contact with a young man, starting when the alleged victim was 16 years old.

The DuPage County State's Attorney's office says Theodore had been training the boy for track and field and has worked at Lifetime Fitness in Warrenville.

It is alleged that the 60-year-old trainer from Woodridge bought the boy gifts, including a bicycle and an iPod Touch. He is accused of abusing the boy at his own home, the boy's home, and a gym where they trained.

Theodore was released from jail after posting 10 percent of the $250,000 bond that DuPage County Judge Elizabeth Sexton set for him Wednesday, prosecutors said. As a condition of his bond, he must submit to GPS monitoring, and have no contact with his alleged victim or anyone under 18.

State's Attorney Robert Berlin called the allegations against Theodore sickening. The prosecutor also praised the boy for coming forward.
