Blackhawks Postpone Fan Festival Due To Lockout
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Blackhawks have postponed their fifth annual training camp fan festival, scheduled for Saturday, because of the NHL lockout.
The team announced Sunday that the festival would be rescheduled once the lockout ends and their training camp schedule is determined. Tickets already purchased for the festival will be honored.
The lockout started late Saturday night when the league's collective bargaining agreement with the players expired. Training camps for all teams have been delayed, and preseason games likely will be cancelled some time this week.
The league and the NHL Players' Association met Saturday to discuss a new collective bargaining agreement, but did not reach a deal. It's unclear when they will meet again.
