Chicago Police Officer Injured In Accident
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Chicago Police officer is recovering in a hospital after a serious car accident on the city's South Side.
The officer's squad car slammed into a semi at 79th Street and Talman Avenue around 1:40 a.m.
The officer is being treated for a hand injury.
Police believe he may have broken a bone when the car's airbag deployed.
The other officer in the car was not hurt.
No charges or citations had been issued.
