Expert Picks: Bears Win, But It Might Not Be Easy

(CBS) Every week during the Bears season, our experts from 670 The Score, CBS2 and WBBM Newsradio 780 & 105.9 FM will provide their weekly picks for the Bears game. For the fourth time this season, the group is in complete agreement:

Brian Hanley Dan McNeil Terry Boers
Bears 21, Panthers 16 Bears 33, Panthers 7 Bears 27, Panthers 9
Quarterback Jay Cutler's sore ribs will limit the Bears' playbook on offense. Quarterback Cam Newton's sore psyche will do the same for Carolina's. Can't build a case for Carolina. They're 29th in scoring offense vs. the NFL's No. 1 scoring defense. Panthers cornerback Captain Munnelyn makes me look tall. Poor Chico. The one-win Panthers have fired a guy (Marty Hurney) I don't believe ever existed. Put Ron Rivera's head closer to the chopping block and feature a quarterback who's been accused of being a big baby. No thanks.

Hub Arkush Dan Hampton Matt Spiegel
Bears 31, Panthers 10 Bears 28, Panthers 10 Bears 37, Panthers 17
This is as close to a walk in the park as the Bears have left. I'd love to see Chico start to redeem himself but he just doesn't have the horses right now to ride with the Bears who are playing their best football of the year. The Panthers have trouble in many spots, but the offensive line has only two season-long starters and one of those is a rookie. Cutler will find a groove early and make this game one sided. True dominance, as it ought to be. Forte has a huge day and Ron Rivera's homecoming is no fun at all.

Ben Finfer Matt Abbatacola Adam Hoge
Bears 28, Panthers 13 Bears 24, Panthers 0 Bears 20, Panthers 16
With Jay Cutler banged up, it'll be important to center the offense around Matt Forte. And they will. Meanwhile, the defense will do its thing and wait for Cam Newton to make a mistake. And he will. BOOM. Offensive deficiencies are being masked by an outstanding defense. It's a short week and I wouldn't be surprised to see a slow start. The Bears tighten things up in the second half with some needed adversity and win.

Ryan Baker Megan Mawicke Josh Liss
Bears 24, Panthers 21 Bears 24, Panthers 10 Bears 30, Panthers 28
The 5-1 Bears, especially the scary good defense, have been more of a treat than a trick so far. With their backs against wall, the Panthers won't play like 'fraddy Cats, but even on Halloween, Carolina won't be able to turn the Bears carriage into a pumpkin. The Bears dominating defense is too much for a struggling Cam Newton and Panthers team. The Bears offense led by a banged up Jay Cutler will do just enough again on a short week. The Bears defense returns to Earth after allowing only 10 points the last two games. It takes a Cam Newton late-game turnover to put the Bears in position for a four quarter comeback.
