CHICAGO (CBS)– The fortunes of lottery players Saturday night went in two very different directions. For someone who bought an Illinois Lottery Lotto ticket in the north suburbs, it was a big payday, but for all those who played the Powerball, hoping to win the estimated $100 million jackpot, they came up pretty much empty.

The winning numbers in the Powerball were: 22 – 32 – 34 – 36 and 56, and the Powerball number was 33. No one matched all the numbers in the multi-state lottery game, and among Illinois players, the closest anyone came to the jackpot were the 32 players who matched four of five numbers, according to the Illinois Lottery. They will each collect $100.

The next Powerball drawing will be held on Wednesday, and the grand prize for that game is an estimated $110 million.

In Lotto, however, someone who bought their ticket at the Speedway gas station at 5499 Grand in Gurnee matched six of six numbers — 08 – 12 – 24 – 25 – 26 and 52 — to win the $5 million jackpot, according to the Illinois Lottery.
