CHICAGO (STMW) — A woman is dead and a teenage boy was wounded in a Humboldt Park neighborhood shooting Monday night on the Northwest Side, police said.
The 36-year-old woman and 15-year-old boy were shot at 6:17 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Spaulding Avenue, police said.
The woman was shot in the chest and dead on the scene, police said. The boy was shot in the leg and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
The boy has alleged gang affiliations, police said.
Area North detectives are investigating.
