CHICAGO (CBS)– A 100-year-old teacher who was still working at a South Side school has died. WBBM Newsradio’s Regine Schlesinger reports.

Olivia Neubauer began her teaching career in 1935 and until her death this weekend, was still helping young children learn to read at the Ashburn Lutheran School on 83rd street, just west of Kedzie.

The head of the school says she died in her sleep yesterday after a brief illness.
