CHICAGO (CBS) — As you write your holiday cards this year, the head of the state’s Veterans’ Affairs Department is urging that you add a few names to the list.
Erica Borggren is encouraging people to send greeting cards to U-S service members.
Borggren, who’s an Iraq war veteran, says it means a lot to someone in uniform to receive a holiday card.

Borggren says Governor Quinn will get personally involved when he delivers holiday cards to Illinois service members at military hospitals here at home and in Germany.
