CHICAGO (CBS) — The exterminators are making a special visit to Cook County Juvenile Court this week–after a new possible sighting of a bedbug in the building.
You might remember a story from six weeks ago about bedbugs at the Cook County Juvenile Court building at Ogden and Roosevelt.
They might be back.
A spokeswoman for Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle says an employee of the Circuit Court Clerk’s office on the concourse level has made a complaint about a possible sighting.
The bug was spotted around the employee’s computer work station.
Preckwinkle spokeswoman Kristen Mack says the bug was squashed and tossed in the garbage–so it’s not certain that it was a bedbug–but the exterminators are being called in on Friday.
It was in October when bedbugs were spotted in the juvenile court building – and part of the clerk’s file room was closed off to try to contain the problem.
