(CBS) – A bomb scare at O’Hare’s Terminal 3 Monday afternoon has delayed a flight to the East Coast.

The TSA and Chicago Police confirm that a suspicious package was found on board American Eagle flight 4141.

It was supposed to leave O’Hare for Hartford, Conn. at 12:50 p.m., but passenger M.J. Dawson tells Newsradio WBBM just as she was about to board, the process was halted and passengers already on the plane were taken off.

One insider tells Newsradio that speculation is if authorities really believed there was a danger they’d have evacuated the entire concourse.

The TSA says Chicago Police, Chicago Fire and a K-9 team have been on the scene at Terminal 3, G Concourse.

An American Airlines spokeswoman says the plane was expected to leave for Hartford.
