(WSCR) Two weeks after releasing him, the Bears have re-signed defensive tackle Amobi Okoye to a one-year contract.

The 6-foot-2, 292-pound Okoye has appeared in six contests for the Bears this season, recording three tackles and one sack.

Okoye, 25, has started 59 of 84 games in six seasons with the Houston Texans (2007-10) and the Bears (2011-12), recording 169 tackles, 16 sacks, five pass break ups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
