‘Major Delays’ For CTA Trains On Several Lines

CHICAGO (CBS) — L trains traveling to and from the Loop were experiencing “major” delays Wednesday morning due to signal problems, according to an alert from the Chicago Transit Authority.

Orange, Green, Brown, Pink and Purple line trains were affected by the signal problems, which originated near the Wabash and Van Buren junction.

Crews were working to get trains running normally.

Trains on the Brown line were also experiencing additional delays due to “defective equipment” near the Francisco station.
