Bears Hire DeCamillis As Special Teams Coordinator

(CBS) New Bears head coach Marc Trestman isn’t wasting any time in filling out his coaching staff.

Hours after officially being named as the franchise’s 14th head coach, Trestman hired Joe DeCamillis as the team’s assistant head coach and special teams coordinator.

The team confirmed the hiring of DeCamillis in an email Wednesday evening.

DeCamillis, 47, has been the Cowboys special teams coordinator since 2009. He’s been a coach in the NFL at some level since 1988.

Earlier Wednesday, Trestman hired Saints offensive line coach Aaron Kromer as his offensive coordinator.
