Robber Stabs His Accomplice During CTA Train Heist

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police say one of two robbers was accidentally stabbed by his partner as they tried to rob a man onboard a CTA Blue Line train early this morning.

Authorities say the men approached the 70-year old victim on an O'Hare-bound train near the LaSalle Street station downtown.

During a struggle with the victim, police say, one of the attackers tried to stab the man on the ground but accidentally stuck his partner.

Charges are pending against him, while he's being treated for the stab wound.

The victim is also hospitalized.

The second offender got away.
