Man Robs Hair Salon In Wicker Park

CHICAGO (STMW) — A man robbed a hair salon Monday morning in the North Side Wicker Park neighborhood.

The suspect entered the Great Clips salon in the 1200 block of North Ashland Avenue about 10:45 a.m., displayed a weapon and demanded money, police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.

The suspect, described as a white or Hispanic male, then fled in an unknown direction, she said.

Last Tuesday, a suspect robbed a Great Clips salon in the 1000 block of West Webster Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, police said.

It is unclear if the latest robberies are the work of the same man suspected of robbing several hair salons on the North Side and north suburbs in recent months.
