Ed's Driveway: Chicago Auto Show

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Did you know Chicago hosts the nation's largest and longest running auto show?

And if you're planning to go, you have a lot to look at cars and trucks fill a million square feet at McCormick Place.

I got a sneek peek.

There's a lot of ground to cover and a lot of great cars at the Chicago Auto Show.

Unveiled at the show, the 2014 Toyota Tundra, available in September.

The Chevy Cruze, also unveiled this week is a clean burning diesel.

Jeep's popular Grand Cherokee also gets a diesel option.

The Chevy Spark is just one of electric, hybrid or alternate fuel vehicles you'll find.

Like Cadillac's ELR, using Chevy Volt technology.

Or the new hybrid Q-50 from Infinity.

Ford has a rich truck history and the F-150 is America's most popular vehicle. So be sure to see the new Atlas concept truck.

If you like the fiat 500, and I do, then you'll love the new, expanded version.

All the fun of a fiat in a four door, almost like a fiat minivan

Then there's the Corvette Stingray, arguably the star of the show

"I think it's very sophisticated and I think it takes corvette to a different place, that's why we're calling it the stingray. Yet it reaches on the heritage of what past generations bring which is technological excellence, performance and obtainability.," said Mark Reuss, President of General Motors.

You'll soon see it on the streets.

The Chicago Auto Show opens to the public Saturday at 10 a.m. and runs through February 18.
