Illini Athletic Department Chose The Worst Picture Possible To Promote The Penn State Game

(WSCR) We're going to assume this was just a major, major oversight by the University of Illinois ticket offices.

In an email sent to Illini fans Thursday morning, the athletic department encourages fans to purchase tickets for the Illini's upcoming game against Penn State.

That's fine, right? At first glance, maybe. But when you look closely, the email features a picture of head coach John Groce hugging his shirtless son following the Illini's win over No. 1 Indiana last week with the slogan, "No Matter Who's Your Valentine, Surprise Them With Tickets To The Game."

Now, it's completely normal for a father to hug his shirtless son, but nowhere on this advertisement does it mention the shirtless boy is related to Groce. Readers are left with only the image of Groce hugging a shirtless boy.

Um, hello? Penn State? Jerry Sandusky? Shirtless boy being hugged by a man? Bueller?
