CHICAGO (CBS) –The Cook County Medical Examiner says a Carol Stream woman died in the multi-car crash that shut down the Eisenhower Expressway for several hours this morning.

The woman is 29-year old Arquilla Jones. Three others are in serious to critical condition.

llinois State police Sgt. Mike Roach says it was actually two separate accidents, both involving two vehicles. They happened within minutes of each other at Kostner.

Just before 6:00am, all four were eastbound when for unknown reasons, two of the four were rear-ended at high speeds.

State police shut down all lanes around the accident scene, allowing traffic to finally creep through, but Sunday morning’s commute toward the city looked more like weekday traffic.
