GLENDALE, Ariz. (CBS) – The Chicago White Sox made a series of roster moves following their 15-3 victory over the Cubs Friday.
The South Siders optioned right-handers Andre Rienzo and Jhan Mariñez, catcher Josh Phegley and outfielder Jared Mitchell to Class AAA Charlotte, the team said in a news release.
With the moves, the White Sox have 41 players remaining in major-league camp: 21 pitchers, three catchers, 11 infielders and six outfielders.
