19-Year-Old Killed In South Side Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 19-year-old man has died following a shooting in the South Side South Shore neighborhood Saturday morning.
The shooting happened about 9:47 a.m. in the 7800 block of South Muskegon Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
The 19-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later died, Zala said.
Police had no additional details on the shooting as of Saturday afternoon. No one was in custody and Area South detectives were investigating.
