Collins To Northwestern Is A Done Deal
(CBS) Chris Collins will indeed be the next head coach at Northwestern, according to CBSSports.com's Jeff Goodman.
An official announcement is expected Wednesday.
Goodman originally reported Tuesday that Collins was the heavy favorite to get the job.
The Duke assistant met with Northwestern officials Monday and the interview went well enough that the school wanted to get the hire done this week before Duke plays Michigan State Friday night in the Sweet 16. Collins will likely stay with Duke through the end of the Blue Devils' NCAA Tournament run.
