Man Killed In South Chicago Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and killed Friday night in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said.

He was found shot multiple times in the torso about 11:10 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Burley Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

Kevin Sanders, 34, of the 8900 block of South Mackinaw Avenue, was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital where he was pronounced dead at midnight, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Area South detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody early Saturday.
