CHICAGO (CBS) – Members of the Chicago police bomb squad were checking out an abandoned truck parked near the rental car facility at O’Hare International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Bomb squad officers could be seen using a robot bomb detector to inspect a yellow panel truck parked near the rental car facility along Bessie Coleman Drive near the airport.

Officials said a man was seen parking the truck, then running away.

Bessie Coleman Drive was shut down in both directions while the vehicle was checked, but reopened by about 6:20 p.m.

Further details were not immediately available.
