CHICAGO (CBS) -- Flooding in the Chicago area has delayed a search of the Des Plaines River for the body of a one-year-old Maywood boy.

Flood Delays Search For Boy

WBBM Newsradio's Steve Miller reports, Bryeon Hunter's mother at first said she'd been beaten by three men who kidnapped her one-year-old son.

Then, prosecutors say she changed her story to confess to her son's murder.

She is charged - along with her boyfriend, Michael Scott.

Prosecutors say they both admitted to dumping the boy's body in the Des Plaines River.

The search for the body began before the Chicago area was besieged by floods.

Maywood Police Chief Tim Curry says the flooding has impeded the search.

He says authorities may be back out along the Des Plaines River on Saturday to resume the search.
