(CBS) In February, the Giants strangely cut veteran linebacker Michael Boley.
Three days later, Boley was arrested for felony child abuse in Alabama.
According to a report, the arrest came as part of a plea deal between Boley and prosecutors. Boley agreed to plead guilty to the felony charges, as a grand jury was preparing to investigate the case.
The plea deal allows Boley to enter a pre-trial diversion program. If he complies with all terms of the deal, the felony abuse charges will eventually be dropped.
