Teen Killed In Auburn Gresham Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) — A 15-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Thursday night in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooting happened about 9 p.m. Thursday in the 8600 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs.

Marqui Thompson was shot once in the face and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died, authorities said.

Police said the victim had documented gang affiliation.

No one is in custody and Area South detectives are investigating.
