Three Hurt In Humboldt Park Drive-By Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three men were hurt in a drive-by shooting early Saturday in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.

They were walking in the 400 block of North Sacramento Avenue when they heard gunfire about 1:45 a.m. and realized they had been shot, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

An 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both shot in the buttocks, and the older man was also shot in the thigh, Greer said.

Both men have gang affiliations, and were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in "stable" condition, Greer said.

Another man, 21, was grazed in the arm and refused medical treatment, Greer said. Witnesses saw a red van flee after the shooting, but no one is in custody early Saturday.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
