(CBS) Fans of the famed No. 54 pining for a come back should let that dream die.

Brian Urlacher is done with football.

“No. No,” Urlacher said when asked if he’d consider making a return to the NFL. “I told my agent I just wanted to retire. He went through every scenario – ‘What if so-and-so calls? Offers you $10 million?’ – but I told him I don’t want to play. Don’t have the desire to play.

“I’m not in shape, haven’t been doing football stuff, have no desire. I’m sure I’ll miss it when it’s time to put the pads on it but I won’t miss what it does to my body.”

Urlacher, who officially retired after 13 NFL seasons last month, is playing as a celebrity in the Encompass Championship at North Shore Country Club in Glenview this weekend.

“I’m playing a lot of golf,” Urlacher said. “The first thing on my mind when I wake up isn’t working out anymore. So that’s a good thing.”
