CHICAGO (CBS) — Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan was at the women’s luncheon of the Rainbow/PUSH international convention today where she was seated at the right hand of the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan was politely received by the several hundred women at the Rainbow/PUSH luncheon.

“I want to congratulate and thank Rainbow/PUSH for their strong support of economic empowerment for people of color and women in particular,” said Madigan.

“And I also want to thank Rainbow/PUSH for your continued partnership with me and with my office so that we can root out economic injustice and ensure everyone’s financial stability. Thank you and have a wonderful convention.”

Her remarks were followed by applause. Outside the Hilton ballroom, reporters asked a familiar question: Will she run for governor?

“Again, I will… you all will know as soon as I make a decision, but at this point I have not made a decision.”

The Rainbow/PUSH convention runs through Wednesday.
