Man Follows, Grabs Girls On West Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man followed two teenage girls and grabbed one of them early Saturday on the West Side.

The girls, ages 15 and 18, were walking near Kedzie Avenue and Cermak Road at 6 a.m. when a man followed them to the 2300 block of West Cullerton Avenue, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

The man grabbed the pants of the 15-year-old girl, causing the 18-year-old girl to strike him with her purse, the alert said.

The man fled west on Cullerton Avenue, the alert said.

The suspect is described as a chubby white man with a light complexion, 35-40, 5-feet-4 with a bald head and a tattoo on his arm, the alert said.

He was wearing a green t-shirt with a logo, khaki shorts and black shoes, the alert said.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8380.
