More Than A Dozen Injured In Tinley Park Deck Collapse
The mayor of Tinley Park, Ed Zabrocki, says the deck collapsed about 9:15 p.m. at a house in the 167-hundred block of Beverly Avenue.
"The preliminary reports indicate that approximately 35 people were on the deck in the back of the house, on the second floor. About 14 or 15 people were taken to local hospitals."
Zabrocki says none of the injuries was life-threatening.
He says the building department is investigating, but it looks like the cause of the collapse is overcrowding.
