Man Tries To Drag Woman Into Vehicle
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man attempted to abduct a woman by dragging her into his vehicle Monday in the North Side Irving Park neighborhood.
The 33-year-old woman was walking near Elston Avenue and Pulaski Road about 6 p.m. when the man, in a red vehicle, began talking to and following her, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.
The man approached the woman in the 4300 block of North Pulaski Road and grabbed her arm while attempting to unsuccessfully drag her toward his vehicle, the alert said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Indian man, 48-55, 5-feet-9 to 5-feet-10 with black hair and a large scar on his nose, the alert said. He was wearing a red shirt.
