Water Skiing Cars On Lake Michigan? It Was Just A Commerical
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Many people along Oak Street beach took a double on Sunday after seeing a boat towing a car.
Yes, a boat towing a car.
Adam Schulman posted a picture on Facebook.
It shows a red Fiat apparently being chased by a Chicago police boat.
"I had to pull over on my bike to take a picture," Schulman said. "I was like, is that boat towing a car? Yes it is, and it was being chased by police. Too funny."
Police, however, say it was all part of a commercial for the car maker.
CBS 2 found a few other pictures on Twitter, including another boat towing a white Fiat, just south of Oak Street beach.
The little cars were also spotted skiing in formation on the Chicago River.
