Cox is scheduled to appear in bond court Sunday.

On Aug. 2, 18-year-old Antonio Lewis was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder in connection with the two murders. Lewis attempted to shoot Brown's second son, an 11-year-old, but his weapon malfunctioned, police said.

Lewis was shot later that day and remains hospitalized.
