Cook County Officer Held On Sex Charge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Cook County corrections officer is being held on $50,000 bail this morning.

He is accused of forcibly detaining and sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl he met online.

Daniel Robinson, 39, of Cary is a 15-year veteran of the department.

The Chicago Tribune reports that when Robinson met the teen, he groped her in the car.

The reportedly told her it was OK because he was a police officer.
