Tollway Scofflaws To Get Unwanted Online Exposure
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Some drivers who haven't paid their fair share on the Illinois Tollway will be getting some unwanted online exposure.
Drivers who have skipped out on more the $1,000 in tolls will soon have their names published in the Illinois Tollway website.
As first reported by the Chicago Tribune, The agency plans to post the names this week.
Tollway scofflaws have racked up about $300 million in unpaid tolls and fines since 2001.
According to a news release from the Illinois Tollway, the list includes 157 businesses.
In all, these scofflaws owe the tollway nearly $3.7 million.
Eight businesses owe $100,000 or more.
