Burning Body Found In Castaic, Calif. Where Naperville Central Grad Went Missing

(CBS) -- A new layer of mystery in the search for a missing teenager who grew up in Naperville.

19-year-old Bryce Laspisa vanished driving to his parents' home near Los Angeles. Wednesday, the remains of a man were found near the search area. But are the cases connected? CBS 2's Brad Edwards spoke to Bryce's family.

A week in, authorities focus on charred remains of what authorities say is an adult male who appears to be set a-fire.

In Schererville Indiana, his uncle Frank David's gut says, "That that's more than likely him. I don't want to face that right now."

His nephew Bryce drove to break-up with his girlfriend last week and ran out of gas on his way back in a mountainous region of LA County. His parents became worried. He said he'd be home.

His overturned vehicle was later found and now that body was discovered near there.

"I don't want to go there. I don't want to go there," said Frank David.

Bryce's family moved to Orange County recently to live the California dream.

"I want it all to end. I want my nephew back. That's what I want," said David. "It's sad"

They are investigating the burning corpse as a homicide. Though, there's no positive id, they may know Thursday or Friday.
