(CBS) — A follow-up now on an original report CBS 2 first told you about last week, about a man who was attacked inside a Walmart store in north suburban Waukegan.
CBS 2 has obtained surveillance video of the January attack, which shows a suspect in a white T-shirt stalking the victim in the freezer aisle.
The suspect uses a bottle to smash the victim in the face.
Jeremiah Rogers suffered extensive injuries. He lost his front teeth and suffered nerve damage to his face.
“I actually seen the bottle coming and my teeth leaving my mouth,” he told CBS 2’s Suzanne Le Mignot. “When Ii looked back, he was behind me, yelling, talking about how he’s going to kill me.”
Rogers is suing Walmart because he says security guards didn’t do enough to prevent what happened.
Walmart says there are differing accounts of the attack and those will come out in court.
Two men carried out the attack. They’re still on the loose.
