Man Found Shot Dead On South Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was found shot dead Saturday morning in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.
Officers responded to a call of a man down at 7:05 a.m. in the 5100 block of South Ellsworth Drive, police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.
The man, in his 20s, was found on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head, Sullivan said. He was dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office was notified of the death.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
