Brown, Wilson Among Bears' Inactives Vs Bengals

By Adam Hoge-

SOLDIER FIELD (CBS) The Bears' inactives Sunday against the Bengals include one surprise: James Brown.

Brown, who had a strong training camp but still lost the starting right guard job to rookie Kyle Long, is inactive most likely because the Bears need Taylor Boggs to backup center Roberto Garza. Boggs has also received work at guard and Eben Britton has the versatility to play both tackle and guard.

The Bears also have five rookies inactive with wide receiver Marquess Wilson, cornerback C.J. Wilson, defensive tackle Zach Minter, defensive end David Bass and running back Michael Ford.

Tight end Dante Rosario, who the Bears traded for earlier in the week, is also inactive as he continues to learn the offense.

Meanwhile, the Bengals will be without left tackle Andrew Whitworth, who has been slowly rehabbing his left knee. Anthony Collins will get the start in Whitworth's place. Collins has not started a game since 2011 and has not started at left tackle since 2008. He'll be tested early and often as he goes up against Bears defensive end Julius Peppers.

Here is the full list of inactives for both teams:

- DT Zach Minter
