Report: Is The NFL Blacklisting Kerry Rhodes For Being Gay?

(CBS) During the NFL offseason, Media Takeout posted pictures to their website of free-agent safety Kerry Rhodes with his arm around another man on vacation.

The pictures have since been erased from the site.

Though Rhodes denies his rumored sexuality, the public perception exists, nonetheless.

Now, a report from Deadspin suggests Rhodes could be getting blacklisted by the NFL for being gay.

"From league source who requested anonymity: 'There's no buzz about Kerry Rhodes.' Also, from what I am hearing, I can't disagree with the possibility Rhodes is being blackballed," Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio wrote to Deadspin in an email. "You can quote me on all of this."

Rhodes, 31, was ranked as the fourth-best safety in all of football in 2012 by Pro Football Focus. He also had four interceptions and was part of the fifth-best pass defense in the NFL.

Florio also said four teams worked out defensive backs this week, and none contacted Rhodes.
