Autopsy Inconclusive In Death Of Ford Heights Infant

FORD HEIGHTS, Ill. (STMW) -- The death of a six-month old south suburban Ford Heights girl remains under investigation after an inconclusive autopsy Saturday.

Raniyh Butler was found unresponsive at her home in the 1400 block of Park Lane about 12:30 p.m., after deputies received a call from the child's grandmother, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.

Raniyh was pronounced dead at Saint James Hospital in Chicago Heights at 1:11 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The state Department of Children and Family Services was not immediately available for comment.

An autopsy conducted Saturday was inconclusive pending further studies, the medical examiner's office said.
