WHO DO YOU LOVE – WEEK 6 PROPOSALS:
Matt Spiegel: 5-5 ATS This Year
Texans -7.5 vs. Rams
Houston is due to break out even without Owen Daniels. How bad are the Rams? They can't run the ball, can only pass on Jacksonville and are a horrible road team. Houston gets back on track in a big way here.
Saints +2.5 at Patriots
The Patriots finding themselves two weeks ago in Atlanta was more about the Falcons being bad. The Saints are in the discussion for best team in the NFC at 5-0 and get a road win in this one.
Jay Zawaski: 4-6 ATS This Year
Denver -27 vs. Jacksonville
The Jags aren't a real NFL team. Denver scores more than anyone and they cover this ridiculous spread after Jacksonville puts up no more than 10 points.
Northwestern +10.5 at Wisconsin
I walked away Saturday impressed by the Cats and think they rebound with a huge road win up in Madison this weekend. The 10.5 is a gambling gift!
Ben Finfer: 3-7 ATS This Year
Denver -27 vs. Jacksonville
The Broncos and Jaguars game will play out like Oregon against a non-FBS team. Peyton Manning scores at will and the Broncos D rebounds after a bad showing in Dallas. I think I'd still take Denver at -54 in this one.
Bills +7 vs. Bengals
The Bills can't score but Cincinnati leaves plenty to be desired themselves on offense. I like the Bengals to win this game but the Bengals struggle on the road to pull this one out late.
Nick Shepkowski: 4-3-3 ATS This Year
Oklahoma -14 vs. Texas
I almost started my own voice recording just for this game. Play of the freaking year. OU has outscored Texas 118-38 over the last two seasons. This is a better OU team than those two were and Texas sucks – see their 19 point loss to BYU and 21 point loss to Ole Miss as proof. Oklahoma covers the 14 before halftime and beats Texas so badly that Mack Brown is fired in the Austin Airport Saturday night.
Bengals -7 at Bills
I get the Bengals struggle on the road but what is a Thad Lewis and who let him quarterback an NFL team? I don't see how Buffalo scores. This game will be horrible to watch but I love Cincy to win this by two scores based solely on Buffalo not finding the endzone.
Dan McNeil: 5-5 ATS This Year
Steelers vs. Jets – Under 41
I hate ugly football games like this one will be but Pittsburgh can't move the football against a good Jets defense and nobody trusts Geno Smith to throw the ball down the field. 41 isn't much but neither of these teams are getting in the end zone with any regularity on Sunday. Give me the under.
Saints +2.5 at Patriots
The Saints are the best road team in football over the last 5 seasons and New England still has a damn long way to go even with Gronk coming back. The Saints are in the conversation for best team in the NFL and get another road win in this one.
