(CBS) – A Chicago man has been accused of funneling Indiana wildlife into Chinatown dinners. WBBM’s John Cody has more.
Police from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources arrested 47-year-old Alexander Moy who heads the Kankakee Valley Fish Farm in Hamlet, Indiana.
“We arrested him for the illegal buying and selling of wildlife,” said Lt Tom Torsell of the Indiana DNR.
Lt. Thomas Torsell says the two year investigation showed Moy was illegally buying wildlife from other hunters and fishermen.
“We’re talking about some fish, turtles, raccoons and white-tailed deer,” said Torsell.
Lt Torsell says an investigation continues to determine if Moy was part of a larger organization turning wildlife into domestic dinners. Moy is charged with two counts of buying and selling wildlife.
