Report: White Sox Set To Hire Steverson As Hitting Coach
(CBS) The White Sox will hire Todd Steverson as their new hitting coach, according to an MLB.com report.
Steverson will replace Jeff Manto, who was fired at the end of the 2013 season. The hiring won't officially be made until the conclusion of the World Series, according to the report.
Steverson spent the last two seasons as the Oakland A's minor league hitting coordinator. He has also served as the A's first base coach in the past, and spent time as a manager and hitting coach in their minor league system.
